We have had so much talk about the gay agenda I thought I would approach things from another angle.
So which harms society more? The Bible says both are sins. I would have to say adultery does more harm. My reasons are: No matter how the gays try to spin it there aren't that many of them out there. Therefore it affects a smaller portion of the population. Also most gay couples don't have kids. Adultery often leads to divorce which has a detrimental effect on kids. Adultery effects more than just the couple involved. It also effects the cheating partners lover as well as their family. Divorce has a gigantic effect on society. Lost wages, hurt kids, health issues etc.
So if we are worried about society and gay marriage should we be punishing adulterers more?

ReplyDelete- I agree with you 100% ... (WOW) The Divorce rate is the biggest problem with society. I truly believe that when the wife left the house, society took a turn. I'm not saying women shouldn't be imported to be in the job force. But our children are suffering from the lack of good parents and family structure. I think gay marriage is one of the smallest problems this country faces.
I am old enough to remember when getting divorced had negative social consequences. I remember when living on welfare was looked down upon. There was a time, not so long ago, that having an abortion was illegal and immoral.
ReplyDeleteWe didn’t get to abortion on demand, even late term abortions in one giant step. We didn’t become a welfare state overnight. It wasn’t the first divorce in the extended family that made it acceptable. These were all just baby steps that lead us so far off the path of common sense and responsibility for our actions.
Homosexual marriage isn’t where final step, it is the first step towards forcing the acceptance of the gay lifestyle upon everyone in every aspect of our lives. We talked about having to rent to gay couples if gay marriage codified into law. Some schools have begun teaching about having two mommies or two daddies in early grade school. Once gay weddings are codified, it will be required teaching. Open gay people in the military will be forced upon the branches of service. Boy Scouts will loose their right to deny positions of leadership to gay men. Churches will be sued and or loose their tax status if they refuse to ordain gay ministers. Churches will be sued, much as the photographer was sued if they refuse to hold gay weddings. Preachers teaching the truth of the Bible will be arrested for spreading hate speech.
Do you think that that all sound crazy? The homosexual movement has already made inroads into many sections of society. They have already sued, sometimes winning and sometimes loosing, to force their views on people. Churches in Europe are already being chastised for preaching that “ Le 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.”
These things will not come in one giant step. They will happen one baby step at a time as liberal judges overturn the will of the people. The only thing that will put a stop to it is if the “silent majority” finds is voice and its backbone and speaks out against it.
In closing, divorce is a plague upon the nation. In the near future, gay marriage will catch up and cause just as much distruction of tradional values.
