Senate tackling important issues!

Terrorists trying to kill us. The economy a mess. Government taking over our lives and the Senate still has time to come to our rescue on even more important matters.

How to decide the college football champ!!!

"The current system "leaves nearly half of all the teams in college football at a competitive disadvantage when it comes to qualifying for the millions of dollars paid out every year," the Senate Judiciary's subcommittee on antitrust, competition policy and consumer rights said in a statement Wednesday announcing the hearings." Senator Orrin Hatch from Utah said in a statement that the BCS system "has proven itself to be inadequate, not only for those of us who are fans of college football, but for anyone who believes that competition and fair play should have a role in collegiate sports."

Now if they would get to that other critical matter. Square or V grooves on a golf club we could all sleep at night.

  1. I wish they'd tackle the women's basketball issue...in that it should not exist. Ever try watching that? Horrible!

They also need to work on putting more women's beach volleyball on TV. Now that's fun to watch!

If Obama could tackle these issues, I may change my opinion of him.

  2. That’s all we need is for Congress to involved is settling the BSC problem. The first thing that they would want to do is take all bowl and revenue and put it a “Trust Fund Lock box” in Washington DC. Then they would decide who received how much of it.

First they would want to give some to schools that are athletically disadvantaged, say Yale and Harvard. Then they find some schools that didn’t have enough Title IV programs and give them a share. After finding out which schools were financially underprivileged, they would take the number of staff and divide it by the total staff salaries to find out who wasn’t being paid enough and send them some of it. If anything were left, they might send some of the money to the schools that played in the games.

Oh, there’s another problem. For every dollar that was sent to the Lock Box, only 40% would be handed out due to the administration costs.
