Speaking of Healthcare...

Found a great article about the direction that Healthcare is heading.

  1. “Your medical treatments will be tracked electronically by a federal system. Having electronic medical records at your fingertips, easily transferred to a hospital, is beneficial. It will help avoid duplicate tests and errors.”

    - I work for a company that tracks over 550 million transactions per day. I think we can track medical records electronically also.(not my job, but the US) I bet $100 that we farm this out to IBM or some other large computer company.

One new bureaucracy, the National Coordinator of Health Information Technology, will monitor treatments to make sure your doctor is doing what the federal government deems appropriate and cost effective.

    - Okay this can be good thing; like fighting shady doctors or fake treatments, but it does scare me!! I would like to know what ““Meaningful user” is. Will have to keep an eye on this.

Seniors should be more accepting of the conditions that come with age instead of treating them. That means the elderly will bear the brunt.

    - The baby boomers will never play alone with it. Can wait to see how this is going to play out. Good thing I’m young.

The health-care industry is the largest employer in the U.S. It produces almost 17 percent of the nation’s gross domestic product. Yet the bill treats health care the way European governments do: as a cost problem instead of a growth industry. Imagine limiting growth and innovation in the electronics or auto industry during this downturn. This stimulus is dangerous to your health and the economy.

    - I agree with this and that why it will be turned around 4- 8 years from now. After the Dems go to far.

I agree with parts of all the change.(parts) Change is needed in heath-care, but this goes to far with some things. Only time will tell.
