Newsweek editor finds God!!

Newsweek editor Evan Thomas talking to Chris Matthews of MSNBC comparing Reagan in 1984 with Obama today "Reagan was all about America, and you talked about it. Obama is - we are above that now. We're not just parochial, we're not just chauvinistic, we're not just provincial. We stand for something, I mean in a way Obama's standing above the country, above above the world, he's sort of God."

How can anyone in their right mind think the media is impartial? Can someone tell me what Obama has done? Reagan inspired us to be better than we thought was possible. He told us that the U.S. was the best place on earth and to be proud of that. Obama tells us we aren't the best, we are just one of many. He gives us no reason to be proud. He tells our allies as well as foes that the U.S. has made many mistakes and we are sorry.

The only thing I'm sorry for is the stupidity of those who voted for the guy.

  1. The news media was given special protection under the U.S. Constitution. We are supposed to have freedom of the press. It even means that the press has the freedom to make fools of themselves.

It’s too bad that there isn’t some way to respond to their stupidity other than to shake our heads is discuss. If you ever turn on the TV and you come across an election commercial, they have to tell you who paid for it. You can’t have an advertisement that appears to be breaking news without letting those that are watching know that it’s a paid advertisement. It’s too bad that that doesn’t apply to the news coverage or special reporting.

Here is an example for you. One of the major three networks held a weeklong “green movement” that stressed the need for using items like the new mini-florescent light bulbs. What they didn’t tell you was that their parent company, GE, stands to make a lot of money on the green movement since they manufacture the mini-florescent light bulbs.
